The Columbia’s United Nations model (COLUMUN) is a simulation of the United Nations Model that involves students in debating and resolving global issues and develops valuable skills such as public speaking, negotiation, research, problem-solving and teamwork.
COLUMUN inspires youth to become engaged global citizens and activists on important issues such as social justice, the environment, and human rights.
It also promotes diplomacy and dialogue as alternatives to violent conflicts, contributing to peace and conflict resolution.
It offers a unique hands-on experience that goes beyond the classroom, connecting students with the reality of decision-making in global affairs aligned with educational goals promoting research, critical thinking, effective communication and citizenship.
